How are we funded?

The Nordonia Schools Foundation is an accredited 501(c)3 non-profit organization and registered with the State of Ohio Auditor’s Office.

Tax documents are prepared annually by a local accountant and bi-annual reviews are completed and presented to the Board of Trustees.

The Nordonia Schools Foundation is dependent upon three main streams of funding:

In 2002, the Board of Trustees initiated an Investment Portfolio with a local investment firm. Separate endowment funds, with donors’ monies, have been established which support annual scholarships. The Board is committed to allowing these funds to grow, unencumbered with the ultimate goal of self-sustainability.

Over the years, individuals, families and organizations have donated substantial monies to the Nordonia Schools Foundation. Often, the donors have targeted specific projects within the schools and the community. The Foundation acts as the liaison between donor and school to assure a successful conclusion.
